Partner Overview
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center offers certified, 24-hour, emergency screening services for children and adults in need of a psychiatric evaluation as well as inpatient and outpatient behavioral services.
The Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC), part of Ambulatory Behavioral Health Services at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, provides half-day Partial Care Services for children ages 4 to 11 who exhibit behavioral problems.
Service Overview
-Psychiatric Crisis Hotline
-Outpatient mental health counseling for individuals groups & families
-Adults and child psychiatric inpatient and partial care programs
-Outpatient substance abuse treatment; Drug detox programs
-School based counseling program
-Therapeutic Learning Center ages 3-5 and after school program ages 5-12
-Dual diagnosis care
Child Crisis Intervention:
-Attendance is five days a week, three hours each day from 8:30 am-11:30 am
-For (ages 4-6 yrs.) and 1-4 pm (ages 7-11 yrs.)
-Weekly parent/guardian participation in case management is mandatory.
-Children receive a psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring as needed.
