The Senator Wynona Lipman Child Advocacy Center (known as Wynona’s House) was founded in Newark, New Jersey as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping children who have been abused or neglected. Wynona’s House revolutionized the process endured by children and families of Essex County coping with the aftermath of abuse and neglect. We are a collaboration of more than 70 multi-disciplinary advocates helping the children of Essex County who have been abused or neglected. the mission of Wynona’s House is to promote justice and provide healing for child victims of abuse and neglect in Essex County.

WHAT WE DO…
A Wynona’s House is a 501(c)3 nonprofit Child Advocacy Center (CAC), a child-friendly facility in which law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical, victim advocacy and nonprofit professionals work together to investigate child abuse and neglect, help children and non-offending families recover and heal, and hold offenders accountable. We coordinate a multi-disciplinary public and private response to the community problem of child physical abuse, sexual abuse, severe neglect and other maltreatment.
